MIUI 13.5 Update: Release Date & Supported Redmi, Mi, Poco Phones

MIUI 13.5 Update: Release Date & Supported Redmi, Mi, Poco Phones

In 2020, MIUI 12 enhanced the MIUI Android skin experience to a great extent. Xiaomi later announced an improved version of MIUI 12, which brought incremental improvements to MIUI. Users absolutely loved MIUI 12.5 as it was the best MIUI update ever. Xiaomi then announced MIUI 13, which let down several users as it did not bring any significant improvements over MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi is expected to release an improved version of MIUI 13 as MIUI 13.5, similar to MIUI 12.5.

As you might know, many users are enjoying the MIUI 13 update while many are still waiting for the update. Xiaomi is releasing MIUI 13 based on both Android 11 and Android 12. This is not a good thing as many users will still be on Android 11 despite having the latest MIUI 13.

This, however, will not be the case with MIUI 13.5. Xiaomi is planning to release MIUI 13.5 based on Android 12 only. This also means that devices that received MIUI 13 based on Android 11 might not get the MIUI 13.5 update. It looks like Xiaomi is planning to stop supporting its older devices to focus on its newer devices.

According to the sources, MIUI 13.5 will come with better stability and performance, which will further enhance the MIUI experience. Not just improved stability and performance, it will also bring new features that add to its charm. MIUI 13.5, just like MIUI 12.5, will bring incremental improvements over MIUI 13. It will be a polished version of MIUI 13, similar to MIUI 12.5.

You might be excited about MIUI 13.5 as it will be cleaner and more stable than MIUI 13. Fortunately, we have some news about MIUI 13.5 and its release date. Continue reading to find out.

MIUI 13.5 Release Date

There is no official information from Xiaomi deeming the release date of MIUI 13.5. But we can predict its release date based on the release dates of past versions of MIUI. MIUI 13.5 is expected to release by the second half of 2022. Below is a detailed prediction of its release date.

The trend of bringing an incremental MIUI update started with MIUI 12, which was launched on April 27 2020. Exactly eight months later, MIUI 12.5 was launched. It was launched on December 28 2020. This year, MIUI 13 was announced on December 28 2021. MIUI 13 was released one year after MIUI 12.5. So if Xiaomi follows this pattern, which is most likely, MIUI 13.5 should be released after eight months from the release of MIUI 13.5. This means that MIUI 13.5 will be released by the end of August 2022.

This, however, is not an official release date from Xiaomi. Xiaomi will soon be announcing the release date of MIUI 13.5 on its social media handles. Meanwhile, Google announced Android 13 on May 11 at Google I/O 2022. So we can see Android 13-based MIUI 13.5 in the future.
