Nissan's eagerly anticipated new sports coupe, the Z, will arrive in Australia in mid-2022, with prices starting at $73,300 MSRP*.

Goodbye Z car - Nissan's iconic 400Z sports car won't be coming to SA after all. The 400Z will not be sold in South Africa, Nissan SA confirmed.

The Nissan 400Z has a top speed of 160 miles per hour and can go from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. This makes the 400Z one of the fastest Nissans ever made.

All-new Nissan Z Proto is now sold out. Overseas pre-production model shown. Australian specifications and features may differ.

According to the anonymous source, the 400z will start at $34,995, giving it more bang-for-the-buck than the Toyota Supra.

The new Z will use a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, and although Nissan hasn't said anything about its output, we expect it to offer around 400 horsepower.

The Nissan S30 (sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as the Datsun 240Z, then later as the 260Z and 280Z) is the first generation of Z

Now, this all-new Nissan 400Z, available in spring of 2021, promises to continue that trend. While the final specs have yet to be determined

Based on this interest, we predict the prices for the 2023 Nissan Z would be starting around MSRP $70,000 (before on-road costs) in the Australian market.

The Z Performance carries a starting price of $49,990. This compares favorably with pricier rivals such as the Toyota Supra and Porsche Cayman.

Expect the A (for Ariya) and Z, both built in the same factory at Tochigi, to arrive this fall. Nissan provided lodging, meals and travel to enable us to bring you this first-person report.
