Meta has announced that creators on its short-video creation platform Reels on Facebook, would be able to earn up to $4,000 per month for original creation.

On Facebook, the company is launching "Challenges," a new incentive for creators in the Reels Play bonus program.

Meta said it is revising how rewards are calculated in order to reward artists with "high-quality original material that resonates with people" across a range of audience sizes.

Facebook's 'Challenges' are a new approach to earn a maximum reward by completing a series of bonuses.

"Each month, each creative in the program will have the opportunity to participate in a series of sequential, cumulative challenges.

For example, when your reels reach 100 plays each at any time, you can earn $20 ," Meta said in a statement.

When a creator completes one challenge, the next challenge becomes unlocked, and you can earn $100 when 20 of your Reels reach 500 plays each, and so on,

At the start of each 30-day bonus period, creators' progress on 'Challenges' will be reset to #1. Reels Play makers will also get Facebook insights, according to the company.

Creators may simply discover how many Plays each of their qualifying Reels received during the allotted earning period by visiting the Reels Play Bonus Insight page on Facebook.

Meta is also rolling out overlay ads in Reels on Facebook, testing them with a wider variety of artists and opening up more high-quality inventory for advertisers on its platform.
