The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is practical, comfortable, elegant, and stylish. It's available with a V-6 or plug-in hybrid engine and all-wheel drive.

Its smooth road manners make the Pacifica a delight to drive, whether on an interstate road trip or to a high school football game.

With the second and third rows folded flat into their built-in alcoves in the Pacifica's floor, the cargo space is extremely generous.

Its basic pricing is higher than rivals like the Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey since its entry-level trims are called Chrysler Voyager.

What's New for 2022?

The 2022 Pacifica adds a new in-cabin air-filtration system and an optional Amazon Fire TV feature that lets passengers connect to streaming services to watch movies and TV shows.

The front infotainment screen on Pacificas with this feature will also show material, but only when the transmission is in park.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The front-wheel-drive Pacifica isn't the quickest minivan, but it's far from sluggish and feels snappy about town.

Nonhybrid models have a 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and nine-speed automatic. The Pacifica hybrid's 3.6-liter V-6, two electric motors, and 16-kWh lithium-ion battery produce 260 horsepower.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

Minivans should be fuel-efficient and space-efficient. The Pacifica Limited gets 31 mpg on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route—best for minivans.

The EPA rates the Pacifica hybrid at 84 MPGe combined and 33 miles on electric power. We matched the EPA's 33-mile estimate around town.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The Pacifica is strong on the features that minivan consumers adore, being airy, spacious, and packed with cubbies, cupholders, slide-out bins, and connections.

Upscale Limited and Pinnacle models have a higher centre console that merges more fluidly with the dashboard, giving them an SUV-like impression.

The Pinnacle variant has quilted leather upholstery and second-row captain's seats with lumbar pillows, a luxury we haven't seen since the Mercedes-Maybach S-class visited our office.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 10.1-inch glossy touchscreen display for Chrysler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system is surrounded by climate control vents on the dashboard of the van.

Uconnect 5 has a changeable home screen and Amazon Alexa. It has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

An optional rear-seat entertainment system has dual touchscreens and Amazon Fire TV, which streams movies and TV.

The Pacifica's cabin has up to 12 USB connections, some of which are the latest USB-C kind that provide faster charging for smart gadgets.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

By providing almost every imaginable driver-assistance feature now available, the Pacifica enhances its reputation for safety.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Chrysler's warranty is average. The Kia Carnival has longer roadside-assistance agreements, but the Pacifica does too.

The hybrid model of the Chrysler Pacifica comes with a warranty that covers hybrid components for ten years and one hundred thousand miles.
