What's New for 2022?

For 2022, every Ram 2500 and 3500 comes with Uconnect 5, the company's latest infotainment software.

A cold-air intake, special exhaust system, paddle shifters, and a console-mounted shifter define the G/T.

The BackCountry Edition is essentially an off-road-oriented package for the Big Horn and Lone Star vehicles, which are valued for their affordability.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Its numerous trim levels include V-6 and V-8 gasoline engines that all go well with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

A 48-volt hybrid system supports both engines, however the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 is also available without electric assistance.

We've driven a few vehicles with the latter and were impressed by the engine's quick acceleration and baritone exhaust note.

Every Ram 1500 features  in contrast to the conventional leaf-spring configuration found on domestic rivals, uses basic coil springs or optional air springs.

Towing and Payload Capacity

The Ram 1500 has a payload capacity of up to 2320 pounds and a towing capacity of up to 12,750 pounds.

With the exception of the Ford F-150, which can already haul more than 13,000 pounds, it has a higher maximum towing capability.

Rams with crew cabs, like the Rebel model, can tow more than 11,500 pounds even if they can't haul as much as extended Quad Cab models.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

The Ram 1500 series offers various fuel economy levels thanks to its hybrid V-6 and V-8 engines as well as a diesel alternative.

The predicts that the V-6 Ram will achieve up to 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, while the V-8 model is only capable of 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

The government predicts that Rams driven by diesel engines will achieve up to 22 city and 32 highway mpg; all-wheel drive will result in somewhat lower mileage.

The 10th Anniversary Edition further enhances the Limited model with even more luxurious interior materials, a Blue Shade paint colour

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The Ram 1500's interior features enormous passenger capacity and cubby storage that is incredibly functional.

The Ram seems more like a luxury car than a pickup truck in higher trim levels thanks to the addition of expensive materials and creature comforts.

Infotainment and Connectivity

For a while now, Ram pickups have had among the greatest connection and entertainment options in their class.

With the exception of the base Ram model, the newest trucks maintain this trend with a snappy 8.4-inch or enormous optional 12.0-inch touchscreen.
