2021 Volkswagen ID 4 1st Edition

Volkswagen finally delivers on its electric concept cars with the 2021 ID.4 SUV, formerly the ID. Crozz concept vehicle

The ID.4 may not look like the Microbus-inspired ID. Buzz, but it's just as crucial to VW's electric car plans.

Additionally, it's the first of a line of all-electric cars that together will form the ID sub-brand. Soon, a 295-hp ID.4 GTX model should be added to the range.

The ID.4 will only be available in Pro, 1st Edition, and Pro S trim levels rather than Volkswagen's conventional S, SE, and SEL trim hierarchy.

Volkswagen ID 4 Price

A base model priced around $35,000 will satisfy value-minded consumers with EV aspirations,

The Statement and Gradient packages, which ordinarily cost $4500 and $1500, are included as standard in the 1st Edition, making it a good deal.

Volkswagen ID 4 AWD

The ID.4's single rear-mounted motor produces 201 horsepower, but the dual-motor all-wheel drive version produces 295 horsepower.

The ID.4's acceleration performance is improved by choosing the more potent all-wheel drive variant, as shown by its 5.4-second sprint to 60 mph on our test course.

The ID.4 handles less precisely than some other EVs, but we still like how quiet the inside is and how smoothly and elegantly it rides.

Volkswagen ID 4 Dimensions

Volkswagen believes the ID.4's 77 kWh battery can go 260 miles between charges.

The battery may, of course, be charged at home using 110- or 240-volt connectors, but it also has a DC fast charging capability.

Volkswagen ID 4 Interior

The 1st Edition model's accelerator and brake pedals have play and pause symbols.

The optional Statement package adds faux-leather upholstery and 12-way motorised front seats with massage and memory.

Volkswagen ID 4 Colors

Glacier White Metallic, Mythos Black Metallic, Scale Silver Metallic, and Moonstone Gray are available.
